The long buried English dub of Seven Samurai, thought to be made for Walter Reade-Sterling's 1963 TV package "Cinema 70". Based on Akira Kurosawa's export cut made in 1954, originally shown with subtitles at the Venice Film Festival that year. Dubbing appears to be based on subtitles used for Columbia Pictures' 1956 subtitled U.S. theatrical release. Opening credits (other than "Seven Samurai" title card) are definitely from the 1956 U.S. theatrical release, although they may have been created earlier (along with the subtitle translation from which this dub appears to be based).
It is not definitively known who dubbed this. If you have any more information about this dub, or if you can identify any voices in it, please let me know in the comments. Any memories of watching this dubbed version also appreciated.
